The starting point
WonderDays was started by three friends and has grown into what it calls the UK’s most-loved independent experience-day company, with more than 2,500 experiences on sale. Google Ads is its main marketing channel, and Matt had already put serious thought into running it well. He had written his own standard for reviewing the account with AI, and had spotted for himself that Google’s automated campaigns were drifting away from the products they were built to sell.
The goal, in WonderDays’ own words, was to “maximise profitable growth from Google Ads” without cutting off demand that could scale. But with Google’s automation deciding where much of the budget went, it was hard to say which searches and products were really paying their way, and so where the next pound should go. For a small team with a Christmas peak to plan for, that meant big decisions resting on figures no one had yet had time to check end to end.
Matt wanted an independent, evidence-led look at the whole account: AI to find patterns at a scale no one person could, and clear options, with the decisions staying with WonderDays.
What we did
- Checked how the account records sales, so every later figure rested on numbers everyone could trust.
- Labelled every visible search from 13 months of ads by product and intent, checked by a second AI system.
- Presented the findings in a plain-English board briefing, with options and trade-offs, and every decision left to WonderDays.
- Followed up with deeper analysis and an implementation plan, then launched new product campaigns as controlled tests.
- Stayed on to run the account day to day, making changes in measured steps and testing new ideas first.
What changed
| Measure | Before | After | How we know |
|---|---|---|---|
| Trust in the numbers | Not yet checked end to end | Sales tracking audited; the sales figure the account steers by confirmed as sound | Tracking audit and executive briefing, July 2026 |
| Where the budget goes | Seen campaign by campaign | Every visible search from 13 months labelled by product and intent, and independently checked | Search classification delivered in the Foundational Sprint, May–July 2026 |
| Setting targets and budgets | Set campaign by campaign | A single, consistent rule, with the safety margin chosen by WonderDays | Budgets and targets plan, September 2026; first step approved by WonderDays and applied mid-September |
| Testing new campaign ideas | Product-led campaigns identified as worth a test | Dedicated product campaigns running as controlled tests alongside the existing set-up | Test campaigns live in the account since August 2026, each agreed with WonderDays before launch |
The work confirmed that the account was fundamentally sound, so the next gains would come from decisions rather than repairs. WonderDays’ leadership now has a shared picture of what is working and where growth can come from, and weighs each choice with the trade-offs set out in front of them.
Much of what we recommended built on thinking WonderDays had already done: Matt’s own standard shaped how the analysis was run, the team’s knowledge of the range picked the products now being tested, and the safety margin in the new target rule was their call. WonderDays asked us to stay on once the analysis was done, and we now run the account alongside them day to day.
“AgentifAI took the time to understand how we run the business before touching the account. We now have numbers we trust, and a tested, step-by-step way to go after profitable growth.”
